Director and Editor. I served as the production lead on this video, created for Children's Hospital Colorado. Working with a scripted voiceover, I collaborated with my photography and video team on establishing the visuals needed to tell the story of the past year and half. I selected music, directed voiceover talent, and cut together this piece to celebrate the work of the selfless caregivers working on the frontlines every day throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. |
Dr. Alberto Peña, MD, Colorectal Surgeon

Director of Photography, Cinematographer and Editor. I served as the production lead on this video, created for Children's Hospital Colorado. I shot all footage on a Canon 6D, then worked with a video producer to select the proper sound bites to tell Dr. Peña's story. I edited this in Adobe Premiere Pro. Dr. Peña is a world-renowned surgeon who has pioneered the field of colorectal surgery. He conducts his surgeries like a symphony, bringing grace and beauty to a profession that could be seen as graphic. My goal was to display the finesse of his craft and share the authenticity of his care philosophy. This video has a global audience: it has over 8,000 views on YouTube and has been used in international conferences to introduce Dr. Peña. |
Break the Stigma

Animator. I worked with our team of designers at Children's Hospital Colorado to help determine the look and feel and storyboard for this video. Once a graphic designer illustrated it, I animated all graphics to create this video. Animations were completed in Adobe After Effects. Mental health can be a taboo topic. But why? Our team at the Pediatric Mental Health Institute wanted a way to break the stigma and promote talking about mental health. This video is the result. This has been used at internal and external meetings, promoted on our social channels and shared by our partners in the mental health field. It has over 138,500 views with a retention rate of >60%. Over 54% of the traffic is coming from YouTube's search and recommendations. |

Editor. I worked on this project for Costello Productions, starting with the :30 bumper that kicked off each video in a series of "Senses" related videos. I edited the interviews and footage to tell Drew's story of creating art in the Mile High City. I edited this in Adobe Premiere Pro. I worked with high-resolution/RAW post-production workflows, including proxy files and color grading. |
